When you first tried to ride a bike or swim, it was a little scary, wasn’t it? Life is like that. Ask Joshua. When God told him to take over the Promised Land, he was a little scared. But instead of focusing on his fears, he focused on God. That is the secret. Joshua knew God and obeyed His laws. He trusted God to make him strong and give him courage. Then he watched God do mighty things through him, again and again. God will do the same for you. Study God’s Word (The Bible) and focus on Him! Read, Pray, Share! It is the only way to have real success.

Are you strong and brave?

Will you do what God wants you to do?

Will you obey God?

 

    Joshua was ready to do ANYTHING God wanted! He was ready to fight!          

    We are also in a fight! We have an enemy who wants to steal away everything God wants us to have. Only it is not a fight we can see. Our enemy is the Devil - and the Devil lives in the invisible world. Even though we cannot see him, the Devil is very real. And he wants nothing more than to take us away from God.

   The Devil is sneaky. He will use every trick to get us to turn away from God. But you do not have to be afraid of the Devil - but you have to be ready to fight him! And so, like a great warrior, you need to put on your armor. And because the Devil is a spirit, God will give you spiritual armor. So put on the whole Armor of God!

Think back on all of the gifts that you have received in your lifetime. What was your favorite gift? Who gave it to you? Why did you receive it? Was it Christmas, your birthday, a reward for good grades? Why was it your favorite? There are some good gift-givers and then there are some gift-givers who try really hard but usually get you something that you don’t really like. Did you know that God is a gift-giver too? If you think you get good gifts from the gift-givers in your life, they’re nothing compared to the gift that God has for you. If you accept God’s gift, and if you believe in Jesus, you’re plugged in to God’s plan. And He will never unplug you.

Have you ever tried hanging up clothes on bent coat hangers? It’s impossible, isn’t it? The teachings of the Bible are like spiritual clothes we are to carefully hang in the closets of our hearts. But the only hangers strong enough to hold them up is the truth of the “Good News”. Anyone who twists and changes the truth about Jesus is offering you a twisted, useless hanger. And twisted truth doesn’t hold anything up. The Bible is filled with the truth about God. It tells us that believing in Jesus is the only way to be rescued from sin. So, resist believing anyone with a different twist on the truth. Instead, hang on to this: Salvation is by faith in Jesus. Period. I Resist Whoever Twists The Truth! The Way to Heaven is Simple – Know The One True God & Jesus!”

Is Jesus God?

Almost everyone knows that 1 + 1 = 2. The basic laws of math never change, and neither does God. But heavenly math is different from earthly math. The Bible teaches that the one true God exists in three different persons: God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. If we showed this as a spiritual math equation, it would look like this: 1 + 1 + 1 = 1 From God’s point of view, this makes perfect sense. Jesus equals God, just as the Father equals God and the Holy Spirt equals God – one God in three persons who all exist at the same time. Have you ever been sick and had to go to the doctor? What did the doctor do to help you feel better again? Doctors can examine someone to identify their condition or diagnose them. They take x-rays, check injuries, and take blood tests. But first they ask you “How are you feeling? Doctors ask lots and lots of questions to diagnose the problem. When we share the gospel, we can be like a doctor and diagnose how much the person knows about heaven and how to get there.
