Christmas Celebration
Think about what the world was like on that silent night, holy night. How amazing it was to hear an angel’s voice. What was it like back there in Bethlehem, hearing the angel say, “Peace on earth, good will toward men”? The shepherds were out in the field watching over their flock by night. Then the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were afraid. But the angels said, “Fear not, for behold I bring you good news of a great joy that shall be for all people. For unto you is born this day a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. And his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, and Prince of Peace. “Wonderful Counselor” means Jesus Christ makes life wonderful. The problems we face in life do not need to baffle us; we know that God will reveal His will to us because Christ is our Counselor. “Mighty God” takes care of the demands of life that can overwhelm us. “Everlasting Father” means that because Christ came to Earth to die on the cross, pay for our sins, and rise from the dead, we have an everlasting Father who will be with us forever. “Prince of Peace” takes care of the disturbances of life. And how we need that peace in these frightening times.

Christmas Celebration
Before the arrival of Jesus, there was four hundred years of silence from Heaven. But then, the angels broke that silence. The angel Gabriel came to tell Zacharias that he and his wife, Elizabeth, would be parents of John the Baptist. Later, the angels announced the birth of Jesus Himself. This baby, baby Jesus was sent by God. His mother was Mary. His Father was God Himself. This baby was the Son of God. Angels announced the joyous event to shepherds.
"I bring you good news that will bring great joy to all people. The Savior, yes, The Messiah, The Lord, has been born today in Bethlehem, the city of David! “Glory to God in the highest, and peace on Earth to those with whom God is pleased.”
The shepherds rushed to the manger to see. When the shepherds left the manger, they were praising God and spreading the “Good News”.
Today, Jesus’ birth is celebrated ALL over the world! He is perfect and without sin. He came to earth to save us from our sins! The one who made Heaven and earth and everything in it! Here to save us! Won’t you praise God and spread the “Good News” too?
Happy Birthday Jesus!
