Jr High Ministry
Bible and Breakfast for 7th and 8th Grade Students.
CVCE is thrilled to offer As I Am, a ministry that brings CVUSD junior high students together before school for Bible, breakfast, and fellowship. During these pivotal junior high years, As I Am helps students lay the foundation for lasting growth, wise choices, and a life walking confidently with the Lord.

How It Works?
Show Up Hungry
Each week the Bible bus parks outside the school, ready to welcome students who are eager to be fed both physically and spiritually. Register today to reserve your student’s seat.
Get Fed
On the bus, students enjoy breakfast and dive into Scripture as they read, discuss, and ask questions that help them apply God’s truth in real ways to their everyday lives.
Leave Nourished
After a nourishing time of discussing God’s truth with friends, students will head into school filled and encouraged, grounded in truth, and ready to shine His light on campus!
Bible And Breakfast
At each of the below CVUSD Junior High schools, As I Am devotions begin at 8:30am and last for 30 minutes, giving students plenty of time to enjoy breakfast, spend time in God's Word, and head to class on time.

Become A Volunteer
We are always looking for servant-hearted community members willing to dedicate one hour each week to sharing God’s Word with junior high students in the Chino Valley Unified School District. Whether you’re a bus driver, teacher or assistant, you play a vital role in ensuring our ministry remains a safe haven for junior high students to learn and grow in Christ.

Growing In Faith
The As I Am ministry was born out of a desire to continue walking with Released Time students as they moved from elementary school into junior high. We recognize how pivotal these years are and want to give students a place to stay rooted in God’s Word while navigating new challenges and opportunities. Through As I Am, God has opened the door for Released Time students to keep growing in their faith - and to welcome their new junior high friends to join the journey, too!
Frequently Asked Questions
For questions about As I Am Jr. High Ministry, please contact cvce.asiam@gmail.com.
Who will lead the devotions?
Devotions are led by teacher volunteers who are passionate about helping students grow in their faith. Every volunteer has completed a background check and agrees with our statement of faith, ensuring a safe and Christ-centered environment for your student.
Do I need to sign my student up in advance?
Students don’t need to sign up ahead of time; everyone is welcome to join us on the Bible Bus! However, it’s helpful for us to know who’s planning to attend so we can make sure there’s plenty of breakfast for everyone.
If my child arrives late, can they still join?
Yes! Students are welcome to join us on the Bible Bus until 8:40 a.m. After that time, the doors will close to avoid disrupting the devotion and allow everyone to stay focused and engaged.
Do you have any classes for elementary students?
Yes! For over 25 years, Chino Valley Christian Education has helped plant seeds of faith by providing weekly Bible classes for public school elementary students through its Released Time ministry. Learn more here!
Are students automatically registered for As I Am if they previously were part of Released Time?
No, students are not automatically registered for As I Am, even if they previously participated in Released Time. Each student is welcome to join, and we encourage families to let us know if their child plans to attend so we can plan accordingly.
If my student was not involved in Released Time, can they still participate in As I Am?
Yes! Any junior high student is welcome to join As I Am, whether or not they previously participated in Released Time. We’d love to have your student be part of this community of faith, fellowship, and fun before school.
Is As I Am affiliated with any specific church?
As I Am is a ministry of CVCE, an independent non-profit organization. While we are not affiliated with a single church, we partner with several local churches that share a similar statement of faith.
How do you handle students with food allergies?
We offer a variety of breakfast options and take allergies seriously. During registration, we collect information about any food allergies, and our volunteers ensure your student is guided to safe choices so they can enjoy breakfast without worry.
Are As I Am sessions ever cancelled?
We hate to cancel sessions, but As I Am does not operate the Bible Bus in inclement weather. As soon as we know we need to cancel a session at your school, we will notify families of registered students with a text message.
Is there a fee to participate in As I Am?
No, As I Am is completely free for all students. We want every junior higher to have the opportunity to enjoy breakfast, Bible devotions, and fellowship without any financial barriers.
