Jesus suffered terrible pain for the sins of the world. He was beaten, mocked, and forced to wear a crown of thorns. When he was completely worn out, he had to carry his own cross to the place where he was nailed to it. But greater than the physical pain was the spiritual pain he went through as he took the blame for our sins. By taking our sins onto himself, he was separated from God the Father for the first time. It was more painful than anything he’d ever experienced. But he did it so we could become part of God’s family. It was a strange but wonderful moment in history. Here the one true Lord of the universe was willing to suffer on a cross made by people he had created. Now that’s love. True love. My Boss suffered on the cross.

         We deserve to be punished for all our sins. Every time we sin, someone gets hurt. It may not always seem like it, but someone does. God always does. God can't just say, “Oh, that’s okay - just don’t do it again... oh, and if you do, well, that’s okay too.” That wouldn't be right!

    God can't just make our sin disappear. God can't pretend it never happened. To make things right, a price for our sin must be paid. Because Sin brought death into the world, the sentence for Sin must be death. That’s the only way to make things right. Death is the sentence for our sin. That's the price we must pay! Death! Yikes! How do we get out of this??!!

    The answer is Jesus! Jesus paid the price for you! But God knew that we would turn our backs on Him and go our own way. God knew all the terrible things our sin would bring into the world. But God still loves us! God wants us to live with Him forever. God sent Jesus to die in our place.

    The day that Jesus died on the cross, the sentence for your sin was satisfied. Because Jesus died for you, you can go free! Your life has been spared! Your sin has been washed away. Jesus gave His life for you. Jesus paid the price for you!

First Admit that you have sinned and ask for forgiveness.

Believe that Jesus died for your sins.

Confess that Jesus is Lord and follow Him.

God promises that if you do that, He will do an amazing thing in you. He will put a new spirit in you - you will be reborn! Your body is still going to die one day, but because your spirit has been reborn, you will live with God forever...in HEAVEN!

Is this true?

YES! And how do we know? Because the tomb was empty! Three days after Jesus died on the cross, He rose from the dead. The Romans put guards on his tomb, and three days later, that tomb was empty!

Jesus is alive!
   All we need to do is believe in Jesus and God will give us the gift of eternal life. After we receive God's gift, we become His masterpiece. He makes something beautiful out of our lives. He molds us and shapes us into His "Work of Art". Then He chooses an exciting plan for our lives. With God we have hope and the promise of a beautiful future, but most of all we have the promise of heaven. And it is all free! We can’t buy it. We don't have to earn it. We don't have to work for it. We can't get it by going to church every Sunday. We can't get it by being good. It is God’s gift to you because He Loves You more than you’ll ever know!

After you do something that isn’t right, do you wonder if you’re still a member of God’s family? Everyone who believes in Jesus needs to know that Satan can’t pull you away from your forever family. No one, no how, no way can separate you from the love of God. Not even your own sin. Before you placed your faith in Christ, you were like a kite on the ground with no strength to fly. Then it was as if Jesus picked you up, tied a long unbreakable string around your heart, and set you aloft. He’ll never let you go. He permanently holds you tight. So enjoy the flight. You’re on your way up, up, up to heaven, and that’s worth hollering about with everything you’ve got. God’s Love Holds Me Tight Like a Kite! He Will Never Let Go!

Life is like the game of baseball. The goal is to get around all the bases and score a run. But every batter is up against nine players on the opposite team who will try hard to get him or her out. When Paul and Silas talked to believers, they reminded everyone that life, like baseball, is full of opposition. If you’re going through a difficult time, God hasn’t left you. In fact, it’s a sure sign that He loves you. Huh? You see, God allows all the players on His team to go through hard times. This is so we will learn to depend on His grace – His kindness and help – to get us from base to base. Receive God’s grace. It’s the only way to get to home base (Heaven). For by Grace I am saved through Faith. I Need Grace to Reach Home Base!

Jesus is alive today and has promised to come into the life of anyone who trusts in Him. Jesus says in the Bible, “Look! I stand at the door and knock. If you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in…” (Revelation 3:20) Do you want to make a commitment to Jesus? Would you like to pray and ask Jesus to forgive your sins and to give you the gift of eternal life (Heaven)? This means that you want to trust in Jesus, turn from sin, and follow Him. Pray this prayer: Dear Jesus, forgive my sins, and come into my life as my Lord and Savior. Amen. Jesus says that the one who believes has everlasting life! Congratulations! NOW… Do you know for sure that you are going to be in heaven some day? And if God asked you, “Why should I let you into my heaven,” what would you say?

Have you ever stopped to think about all the different kinds of shoes in the world? We’ve got baseball shoes, basketball shoes, soccer shoes, tennis shoes, even jogging shoes. And then there are sandals, clogs, sneakers, loafers, moccasins, boots, and bedroom slippers. The list could probably go on forever, but all shoes have one main purpose: to protect our feet while we’re getting to where we’re going. As Christians, we too, have a primary purpose: to share the Good News about Jesus wherever our shoes take us. You see, people wearing shoes that go and share the gospel are beautiful in the eyes of God. Some beautiful person brought it to you. And you can take it to others. I use my shoes to share the Good News.

Did you know that a very long time ago nothing was around except God? Then when God decided the time was just right, He created everything. He made the little ball we live on called Planet Earth. He made every living thing on Earth. He also created the sky above and the oceans below. God made the sun, the moon, and the stars. God made the call to create every fish, bird, and animal. And when it was time to make people, God made that call too. None of this was an accident. In the beginning, only God was big enough to make the call that got the ball rolling. And He’s the only one big and powerful enough to keep it going, day after day. When God Spoke, the World Began!

As you get older, you’re going to get asked questions about what you believe. You will meet people who just want to know more because they are actually curious. And you’ll also meet some people who don’t believe what you believe. They don’t believe that Jesus ever existed or that the Bible is true. These people may ask questions to try to challenge your faith. Just talk about Jesus and the hope that you have! When people ask you why you are happy or why you do good things, be ready to tell them all about Jesus.
