Noah
In Noah’s time people’s thoughts were “consistently and totally evil. Noah was the only person who pleased God and did what God asked. Since He trusted Noah, God told him to build a big boat that would float way above the Flood that was going to cover everything. Noah obeyed. God’s directions became the lifeboat that kept Noah and his family alive. God is still in the lifeboat business today. He’s always looking for someone who will climb aboard and get involved in His big plan for the world. And He’ll be there to help in time of trouble. He wants to float your boat. Will you let Him? God is the Lifeboat That Keeps Me Afloat

Noah
The world during Noah’s time was full of sin, evil, wickedness and violence. If we look around us, we might realize that today’s world is in the same condition. We see sin, evil, wickedness, violence and people who are far from God. The Bible says there is always a price to be paid for sin. During Noah’s time, God saw all the corruption in the world. Everyone on earth was totally evil. God was sorry He had ever made man and put him on the earth. It broke His heart. But God, looked down and remembered Noah. Noah was the only righteous person living on earth at that time. He loved God!
So, God said to Noah, “I have decided to destroy all living creatures for they have filled the earth with violence. Build a large boat for you and your family. Take with you 1 pair of every animal, a male and female." So, Noah did what God told him. All the animal’s male and female came to Noah, and two by two they entered the ark as God commanded. “Now it’s time for you and your family to get into the ark!” God said to Noah. So, Noah, his wife, his three sons and their wives; all got into the ark too. Noah was 600 years old when he entered the ark. Then God Himself reached down from heaven and shut the door. Water came and covered the earth. Water poured from the sky and rushed up from the ground. It rained. And rained. And rained. It rained for forty days and forty nights. It rained so hard that the ark floated above even the highest mountains. And everything that breathed on the earth died. Only Noah and those in the ark were left. But God took care of them! Soon the ark came to rest on the top of a mountain called Ararat. Finally, God told Noah it was all right to leave the ark. So, Noah went out with his wife, sons and their wives. Then all the animals came out of the boat two by two. They found new homes in the world God had washed clean. Noah was 601 years old when he left the ark and was he ever glad to be walking on dry ground again.
The Rescue Plan
God has a rescue plan for those who love Him. His rescue plan for Noah was the ark. But what is the rescue plan for people today? The rescue plan God has for people today is Jesus! Just like the ark spared Noah and his family from God’s wrath, Jesus came to earth and took the payment for our sin to spare us from God’s wrath. Just like those who went into the ark were saved from the destruction of the flood, all who believe in Jesus and come to Him will be saved from eternal death.
