Hard Question #6 – What About Other Religions?

    There are over 4,000 other religions in the world that all claim to be true. Some have come and gone while others have managed to stick around for years. These other religions are very different from Christianity. You might know someone that might ask you Hard Question #6 - “What about other religions?”  

    Many of these other religions are attractive because their followers are very nice, and law abiding. People also find these other religions appealing because they want to believe that they can earn their salvation, and that they are good enough to get to heaven on their own. We know from reading the Bible that we are all sinners. We need to accept the free gift of salvation that only comes by knowing Jesus as Lord and Savior. Whenever you hear anything that doesn’t match with the Bible, you should know that it is a false religion.

    The beautiful difference between Christianity and any other religion is that Believers of any other religion have to work and try to be a good enough person to earn a spot in Heaven. Our God knew we could never be good enough to do it on our own, so He made a way for us.

    Although many people who follow other religions are sincere about what they believe, and are really nice people, they are still putting their faith in the wrong place. We should kindly and graciously help others know the truth.
